As you may have noticed, I don't really have time to do radio shows these days.... however I have started another blog where I'll be posting lots of YouTube links to my favourite funk and disco jams so head over there for some good music.......
Here's a sneak preview of the next release on my Moog / Disco / Funk label FRESH UP, due for release in late October.
We'll be having another of our London-based FRESH UP parties on Friday November 2nd to celebrate.
Here's a new show with lots of synth music including some Casio reggae and some 80s synthpop instrumentals.
Don't forget to say hi in the comments box so I don't get mad.
We've got a new release coming out on Fresh Up very soon.
FRESH008 - Ike N Mike - Logic Family / Highly Illogical.
....and to celebrate we're having a party at Life on Old Street on June 1st.
Check out the clip!
I've got a new 6-track EP out on Voltaire Records.
You can buy it directly from them on vinyl or digital formats, and it should be in all record stores soon!
When I was listening through to this one, I realised I actually know loads of the people who made the tracks. So I want to send an extra big shout out to: Mark, Tim, Lukas (& Johan), Keith (& Tommy), Alex, Rich, Gianluigi, Chris and Jodey!
Hot on the heels of podcast 25, here is number 26. In the style of number 15, it's a trip to my studio to jam with some old drum machines and synths and make a couple of tracks. I try to explain what I'm up to but not in much detail, feel free to ask a question if you're interested.
FRESH007 out soon, featuring an unreleased 1975 Moog jam from Black Devil Disco Club's Bernard Fèvre, plus some disco magic from Tokyo's Yellow Peril Disco Group. Out now on download, vinyl next week, with pre-release copies available at our launch party this saturday in London.
I've got another new EP out, entitled Cosmic Awakening.
It will be in the shops soon on 180g vinyl with a picture cover, or to download.
Alternatively, you can order it directly from me.
The record is £6. I've also got a few copies of BRK59 "Broken SD140" for those who want it.
These are my postage prices:
1 12" within the U.K. £4.20 Recorded or £3.50 unrecorded at your own risk. 1 12" Europe £9.50 Insured or £5.00 Uninsured at your own risk. 1 12" Worldwide £11.00 Insured or £7.00 Uninsured at your own risk.
One more time, IF YOU CHOOSE UNINSURED POST THEN I CAN'T HELP YOU IF IT GETS LOST OR SMASHED!
UK and Europe customers have to pay VAT @ 20% on the total.
So a UK customer would pay £6 + £4.20 + £2.04 = £12.24 for one record, recorded delivery.
Sorry it's so much but that's Royal Mail for you.
If you want to order, then please email me at: d m x k r e w {{AT}} g m a i l {{DOT}} c o m. Don't forget to SAY WHERE YOU ARE so I can invoice you correctly.
Podcast 24 featuring the Cool Ruler, the Tuff Gong, the Upsetter, the Black President, the Godfather of Soul, the King of Soul, the Prince of Love and several others.
Recently I regained the rights to my first album from all the way back in 1996, so I decided to celebrate with a very limited edition cassette re-issue and digital release, featuring a re-made version of the title track, plus a few previously unheard remixes. The tapes are available exclusively from BLEEP and come with a free download. After the tapes are sold, digital sales will be as normal from all good online music places.
Hey I finally did another show, thanks for all the comments and requests.... one reason the gap has been so long is because I've been making lots of music and doing shows so it's not all laziness :)
