Ceephax

OK I feel a bit guilty using this blog for advertising but have you heard the new Ceephax Acid Crew album? It's called "United Acid Emirates" and it's the best album I've heard in literally years. Do go and check it out.
To celebrate (cash in) I have ordered a very limited vinyl repress of Breakin' Records BRK52 which is an EP of Ceephax's best tracks from his Breakin' EPs. So get it while you can from all good record stores!

Podcast 16 is on the way soon....

Fifteen - Studio Special

This time the show is a bit different. Instead of listening to records, we take a trip to my studio and make a track on some old synths and stuff in under 90 minutes. Hopefully this is interesting to some of you, let me know in the comments and feel free to ask questions about what's going on.

Normal service will be resumed next time.

www.dmxkrew.com

I just updated my website, www.dmxkrew.com and added lots of audio for you to check. On the downloads page there's a brand new live set from last month in Germany and lots of other DJ mixes and live sets, some of which you might have missed, all free downloads.
So check it out, enjoy the free stuff and then go and buy some MP3s or vinyl so I can keep eating :D

Thirteen

Unlucky for some, Episode 13 features a lot of old Chicago house, mostly of the acid variety, plus some Detroit techno and some electro from wherever.

New Releases

I just added some audio to my Myspace player so you can check out the latest two releases on my label Breakin' Records.

BRK57 is a split/collaboration affair with some friends.

The A-side is kind of banging techno made with an 808 and a synth that was free on the front of a magazine with Tokyo tinkerer Yuri Suzuki.
The B-side is more electro-ish techno and acid with Croatian acid squeezer Qwerty.

BRK56 "Computor Shock" by Computor Rockers is up there too, slipped my mind to upload samples at the time of release.

Vinyl of both releases is out now and digital downloads will be available soon.

Finally, Podcast number 12 will hopefully be uploaded next week....
